cool stuff I found this week
Some cool websites that I discovered this week (or remembered that I had seen them before). All related to vintage stuff
https://bmxmuseum.com/ found this site, really cool. It has listings of bmx bikes and parts from yesteryear until quite recently as well as a forum.
there is a museum of bikes that you can browse by make/year/date of mfg ect…. if you scroll down to the bottom of the main page and click “view all bikes” Also when you start scrolling down a top menu bar appears with a “reference” option that leads you to a page where you can view parts, magazine scans, ect…
https://www.velobase.com/ This site is similar to the bmx site but for vintage road bike stuff. It is mostly about the parts but does have a frame listings, catalog scans
http://www.bikepro.com/ This site is a internet shop from the 90’s 2000’s with all sorts of awesome vintage mtb parts listed with the original prices and product descriptions. Also information about metallurgy and other bike nerd stuff.
https://velospace.org/ Kind of just a collection of many peoples bike builds. Some cool stuff mostly older.
http://www.classicrendezvous.com/ This site is a website Dedicated to Lightweight Vintage Bicycles circa 1900~1983 It does not have user generated content like the similar sites above. It does have a easy navigation menu that sorts bicycle manufacturers by country.
http://www.hilarystone.com/ Another online seller that has listings for new old stock parts and nice classic bikes.
http://mombatbicycles.com/ Online mountain bike museum, fun info and pics. Also they have a listing for bikes from pre 1930.
